Mara Okafor: This is the Alden Ledger podcast. I'm Mara Okafor, I cover City Hall and the harbor.
Daniel Reyes: And I'm Daniel Reyes, business editor. Most weeks you'll hear one of us, sometimes both.
Mara Okafor: The idea is simple. Every week the paper runs stories that took days or weeks to report, and most of that reporting never makes it into the article. This is where it goes.
Daniel Reyes: Twenty minutes, one story, tape from the room. No panel of pundits, no news of the week roundup. Just the story and the people in it.
Mara Okafor: First full episode is about the seawall vote. Daniel and I sat down with the engineer who wrote the risk report and a Front Street landlord who's going to get a bill for it.
Daniel Reyes: That one runs long, almost half an hour, because the numbers took a while to walk through. Worth it, I think.
Mara Okafor: New episodes land Thursday mornings, same time the print edition goes to press.
